Even small children can learn guitar notes easily. These 6 lines represent the 6 strings on your guitar. And most of all - no fun! And mostly they were right. Learn the triad patterns for the C major scale all over the fret board. Frets. Easy stuff. Slowly play these notes and make sure that you concentrate to learn notes well. It is also ok to press your thumb into the back of the guitar against your stomach. 5 When you know these notes already, start playing them together with the other notes youve learned previously. Know them by heart. 4. This is a common thumb position for constructing chords. Thats how Tablature was invented. The following 6 lines do not represent your typical music staff which actually has 5 lines. The string that is closest to the floor. They separate the notes (tones) on the guitar. 5 Once you master and memorize the notes, you can now play the songs that you like. Guitar notes are not really hard to learn as long as you know what to do.

Now place your left hand around the guitar neck and place your right arm around the body so that your hand is lying by the strings.
You dont need an expert teacher in order to learn these things. You should grasp the pick between your thumb and forefinger of your right hand. As soon as you place your finger on the First Fret and then strike the same string again the pitch will be slightly higher. Many beginners fail to learn because they dont have guitars on their hands. 5 You can teach yourself these note lessons by using DVD programs or internet guitar programs. You dont have to work on all the notes at once. You can also use an instruction book. Rest the guitar body on your right upper thigh. When you place your finger (form your left hand) in between two frets and hold down the string you are then prepared to strum or pick the string with your right hand. Learn to do step 5 in all keys. You can start by playing simply melodies like that of nursery rhymes. Try out both thumb positions and use the one that is most comfortable for you. 5 Your right bicept should be resting on the top of the body of the guitar. If you want to play any instrument, you have to have one and this is especially true if you want to play a guitar. Cookie cutter stuff. Why is that? Well, it's because they think it's boring, complicated and too much hard work. Try to master each of the notes and learn them consciously. The second string is B, C (first fret), and D (third fret).
