“Unplugged" can now be as simple as it was meant to be. Sweepable, semi-parametric EQ controls remove unwanted feedback and our tube/microphone emulation circuitry eliminates the harsh unnatural harmonics of piezos. The instrument level 1/4" input has a very high impedance of 4.7megOhm to provide maximum output and dynamics. Other features include an effect loop and active tone controls with 12dB of cut or boost.  For studio and live applications, SansAmp Acoustic DI is engineered with three outputs: an effected XLR, and effected 1/4", and a parallel, uneffected 1/4". In bypass (inactive), SansAmp Acoustic DI functions as a standard active transparent direct box.
