Just imagine the bottom line as being the top string thats closest to you. You have two options here. Learning to play guitar notes will be very hard if you dont have your own guitar. Here is a link to a great resource *WITH VIDEO* to show you what it looks like to strum and play and hold the guitar! However, that site also continues to teach traditionally and we are here to learn the guitar OVERNIGHT! So, lets not spend too much time over there. 2 Normally they are on the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 12th frets. You dont have to say all the notes out loud when youre practicing. As soon as you place your finger on the First Fret and then strike the same string again the pitch will be slightly higher. The first option is to buy a right-handed guitar and re-string it, so that the order of the strings in figure 3 is reversed. 2 The bottom Line represents the LOWEST SOUNDING String on the guitar and this one is the thickest.
The more you move to the right the higher the pitch will get. There are usually about 20 something frets on a standard guitar.
