Still, if you can afford the expensive guitar teachers, you can always hire them. You can start by playing simply melodies like that of nursery rhymes. You have to hear the notes being played on the guitars fret board. Once you can do steps one to five in the key of C, it's real easy to learn it for the other 11 major keys. Mastering the basics means being able to play in all keys. You must know the notes by heart, you have to be motivated and you must be persistent. The second option you have is to buy a left-handed guitar. 2 Mastering the basics can be a lot of fun if you go about it in a methodical set-by-step way. You dont need an expert teacher in order to learn these things. You cant depend entirely on the music sheets that you have. There are so many methods and so many conflicting opinions, it makes it difficult to know what to do. 4. Learn to play guitar notes now and you too can conquer the guitars fret board. The back of the neck is curved, so that your hand molds into the shape of the neck. 2 Playing the very first songs on your guitar will be easier if you know the notes on the first guitar string. The second string is B, C (first fret), and D (third fret).
Know them by heart. This just means that you can play a couple notes higher on the guitar and those notes are so high pitched they are pretty annoying to listen to anyway! However, that site also continues to teach traditionally and we are here to learn the guitar OVERNIGHT! So, lets not spend too much time over there.
