You must know the notes as well as their names, and most especially their sounds. Again, you must stick with simple songs. Adjust your body positioning so that you are completely comfortable. Playing the very first songs on your guitar will be easier if you know the notes on the first guitar string. If you are right handed, the guitar neck should be pointing towards your left. All the patterns are exactly the same as what you learn for C major. Guitar notes are not really hard to learn as long as you know what to do. 1 Learn how to construct a C Major scale. C Dm Em F G Am Bdim. This system allows you to get propelled into playing songs and riffs on the guitar almost immediately! Guitar Tab is a universal language among musicians and even professionals use it as a reference. Oh yes, they mean to get around to it, but they hardly ever do. And most of all - no fun! And mostly they were right. Instead of reading notes on staff paper which can be quite tricky, it is made up of a number system that is so easy my grandma can play smoke on the water with ease!! NO joke. But the simple fact is, if you want to be the best you can, as soon as you can, then all you need to do is - copy what the pro's do. 1 It is also ok to press your thumb into the back of the guitar against your stomach. Hint: It's much easier than you think.
What does mastering the basics entail? There are 6 basic steps you need to follow: 1. Learn the names of all notes on all strings, one string at a time. The Top Line represents the thinnest or highest pitched string on your guitar. Basic chord construction knowledge. You dont need an expert teacher in order to learn these things. 1 Just imagine the bottom line as being the top string thats closest to you. These 6 lines represent the 6 strings on your guitar. Mastering the basics can be a lot of fun if you go about it in a methodical set-by-step way. Normally they are on the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 12th frets. As soon as you place your finger on the First Fret and then strike the same string again the pitch will be slightly higher. Why is that? Well, it's because they think it's boring, complicated and too much hard work. The left hand fingers are bent and pressing down on the strings on the fret board. 1 You have to hear the notes being played on the guitars fret board.. When you hold down a string at a given fret what you are actually doing is making the string shorter, thus making the pitch Higher and changing the note (or tone). 4.
Easy stuff.Playing guitar for hours can strain your back if you do not maintain an upright posture. There are usually about 20 something frets on a standard guitar. 1 Rest the guitar body on your right upper thigh. When you place your finger (form your left hand) in between two frets and hold down the string you are then prepared to strum or pick the string with your right hand. You dont have to be scared of the fret board. Learn the triad patterns for the C major scale all over the fret board. Know them by heart. Try out both thumb positions and use the one that is most comfortable for you. You dont want to put your finger on the metal fret itselfbut just slightly to the right of it produces the best sound. 1 There are usually dots on the fingerboard of your guitar to act as a guide when moving around and holding down different frets. You should grasp the pick between your thumb and forefinger of your right hand. Learn to do step 5 in all keys. Once you learn the notes, you can now read advanced music guitar sheets. When you know these notes already, start playing them together with the other notes youve learned previously. We all know that pitch.
